Community advisory panel
Women who bring lived experience and community perspective to AskHer's content, features and outreach — and are paid for their time.
Help shape a more supportive women's health platform
A standing group of women who bring lived experience and community perspective to what AskHer builds, which topics it covers next, and whether any of it is understandable. Panel members are paid for their time.
- Real experience
- Community voices at the centre of the decisions.
- Meaningful influence
- You see what changed, and what did not.
- Paid, not volunteered
- Panel members are paid for their time. The rate is set before the first intake and is stated in the invitation — AskHer does not quote one here before it has been agreed.
What the panel is for
- Share lived experience and community perspective, only as much as you want to share.
- Review topics, wording and formats before they are published.
- Tell us where navigation, labels or explanations are confusing.
- Advise on reaching communities AskHer is not currently reaching.
- Help decide which live sessions run first.
- Take part in periodic discussions and surveys.
Not clinical authority. Panel members do not give medical advice, do not set clinical guidelines and do not represent AskHer as healthcare professionals. Clinical decisions stay with qualified reviewers.
Applying
-
Who can apply
Women and allies aged 18 and over with lived experience or community perspective on women’s health in India. No medical background is needed or expected.
-
What the form asks
What you would bring, what you would want changed, and which languages you can work in. You are never asked for a diagnosis or a medical history.
-
Representation and pay
Selected members are paid an honorarium. Where you live, the languages you speak and the life stage you are in are weighted deliberately, because a panel drawn from one city advises on one city.
-
When applications are read
As they arrive. No intake has been scheduled yet, so there is no closing date to work to — an application sent today is read when the first panel is put together, and you are told either way.
Time commitment: About four hours a quarter: one group discussion, one short survey, optional written comments.
Some of the current panel
Panel members choose how they are described and how much of their experience appears here. A member can sit on the panel without appearing on this page at all.
The panel has not been appointed yet
Nobody has joined the advisory panel so far. The first intake is open now, and members who agree to be named will be listed here.
Apply to join the panel
Six questions, none of them about your health. We never ask for a diagnosis, a symptom or a medical history — not here, and not once you are on the panel.
