Terms
Short, and in the same words we would use to explain it out loud.
What AskHer is
AskHer is a women's health education service. Everything published here is general education: it describes what is usually true. Each answer says who wrote it and how it was reviewed — a clinically reviewed answer names the clinician who checked it, and an answer reviewed by an editor rather than a clinician, or written with AI assistance, is labelled that way.
It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or advice about your own situation. Reading an explanation, attending a session or taking a course does not create a clinical relationship with anyone. A disclaimer would not change that, which is why we keep the content itself educational rather than individual.
If something is urgent, contact a clinician or an emergency service now. Do not wait for an answer here.
What you agree to
- You are 18 or older. We do not yet support sensitive submissions from minors, because that needs a separate safeguarding design.
- You will not post treatment instructions, dosages, or anything presenting itself as individual medical advice.
- You will not post details that identify another person, including a clinician you are unhappy with.
- You will not use AskHer to promote a product, a clinic or a service.
- You understand that contacting a practice through Find care is a request, not a confirmed appointment.
If you contribute
- Participation is non-exclusive. You can publish the same material elsewhere.
- You keep ownership of your work and grant AskHer a licence to publish it.
- You are attributed wherever your work appears, including translations.
- Substantive edits and translations need your approval before publication.
- You can ask for a copy of everything you have written through Get help — a self-service export is not built yet — and there is a documented process for leaving.
- Private questions and personal stories are never released under an open licence.
What happens to a published answer when a contributor leaves is agreed in advance. We do not promise both unconditional deletion and permanent availability, because those cannot both be true.
Courses and sessions
- Nothing on AskHer is for sale today. Every session is free, and no course can be bought.
- If paid courses or sessions launch, these terms will first be updated to say what a paid item contains, how long access lasts, what it does not cover, and the refund and cancellation terms. Those terms will apply from launch, not before.
- If a session is cancelled, everyone registered is told.
- A completion acknowledgement records that you finished the material. It is not a clinical qualification and has no professional standing.
About these terms
- AskHer is owned and operated by Shely.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting your rights under consumer-protection law.
- We do not promise that the service is uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any outcome will follow from using it.
- When these terms change, we post the new version with its date, and tell account holders about material changes before they apply.
- Support: Get help or [email protected]. Grievances: our grievance officer at [email protected] (acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 15 days). Legal notices: [email protected].
