Your story can support, reassure and help someone feel less alone. It is labelled as experience, never as medical advice.

The question I could not ask

Something you wanted to ask at an appointment and did not. No names, no details that identify you — just the question. A moderator reads every one before it appears.

Not sure what to call yourself? Try — tap it to use it, or type it in yourself. It is a fresh suggestion each time this page loads, and using a different name in each circle is what keeps two difficult threads from reading as one person.

Use a name you are comfortable with. It is used in this circle only — you can use a different one elsewhere and nothing connects them. 0/30

Protect your identity

Do not share your real name, phone number, email, workplace, location or anything else that could identify you or someone else — including the name of a clinician you are unhappy with.

The email says only “Your AskHer update is ready”. It never names the circle or the post, and the address is deleted as soon as the post is decided. Email goes through an outside provider; leave this blank and use your reference instead if you prefer.

Cancel

Your post appears in Connect after a moderator has read it. That usually takes a few hours. If it is not published you are told why, and you can ask for it to be looked at again.

What identifies a person

Names and phone numbers are the easy half. These combinations identify women far more often, and a moderator checks for them too.

  • Your workplace together with your town.
  • An exact appointment date together with a named clinic.
  • Your exact age together with a rare diagnosis.
  • A photograph of a report, prescription or appointment card.
  • The name of the clinician you are unhappy with.
