Ask for someone else

For a mother who does not read, a sister with no phone of her own, or a woman a health worker saw this morning. You describe the situation — you do not sign her up for anything.

Step 1 of 4: Say who it is for, and what to ask

This is her question, not yours

This question is about the woman you are asking for, not about you. Anything a doctor writes back is educational information about her situation — it is not advice about your health, and it is not a diagnosis of hers.

You will get a private link so you can check it, add to it, and read the answer when it arrives. What you will not get is the power to put her question on a public page. That decision is hers and there is no form on this site that lets anyone make it for her.

How do you know her?

The doctor is told this, because it changes how the description should be read.

How do you know the person this question is about?

Whichever you pick, it grants nothing. Whichever you choose, it gives you exactly the same access: this one question, and no power to publish anything.

What would you like to ask about her?

Write about the woman you are asking for — how long it has been going on, what has changed, what she has already tried. Leave out her name, her phone number and where she lives: none of that helps a doctor answer, and all of it identifies her.
